During the talks between the Moscow and Ankara delegations, the sides discussed preparations for a Turkish military operation in northern Syria. During the meeting, the Russian side did not approve of the move, due to which Turkey had to stop preparing for the battle, Hürriyet reports.
This refers to the planned operation in the Ain Issa sub-district on the northern outskirts of the city of Raqqa. Russia did not allow military operations there, and it sent a new supply to the region.
The M4 highway passes through the Ain Issa sub-district, which connects the cities of Hasaka, Raqqa, Deir Ezzor and Aleppo.
