The Armenian Embassy to Egypt informs that on May 8, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Oman (residence in Cairo) Hrachya Poladyan presented the copies of the credentials to the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Badr Albusaidi.
Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, Minister Albusaidi noted that Oman is interested in developing relations with Armenia. The Minister emphasized Armenia's role in the South Caucasus.
During the conversation, Ambassador Hrachya Poladyan presented the current stage of the developments of Armenian-Omani relations and proposed to sign about a dozen documents in the near future, which have been recently negotiated.
At the end of the conversation the parties stressed the need to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation.
On the same day, Ambassador Hrachya Poladyan met with the representatives of the Armenian community in Oman.
