Secretary of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Security Council Vitaly Balasanyan sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Victory Day, the establishment of the Defense Army and the day of the liberation of Shushi.
“May 9 was a memorable and beloved holiday for all of us. On that day, the glorious veterans of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, the freedom fighters who liberated ancient Armenian Shushi, the servicemen of the Artsakh Republic Defense Army were honored.
That day was celebrated with national joy as a symbol of our achievements.
The war of 2020 and its catastrophic consequences have defined a new reality, posed new problems. And in drawing up our plans for tomorrow, we must build on the victories we have achieved through a dedicated, united struggle.
Today, as never before, it is a vital necessity for us to be a group with the ultimate goal of completing the fragmented Artsakh and keeping it Armenian.
I am convinced that the victorious spirit will be reborn with the potential and will of the nation,” the message reads.
