The official visit of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan to Georgia started on May 4. After the official welcoming ceremony, Suren Papikyan met with his Georgian counterpart.
During the meeting, the Defense Ministers of Armenia and Georgia touched upon a number of issues related to regional security.
Suren Papikyan and Juansher Burchuladze also discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the defense sphere in the fields of military education, exchange of experience, morals, human rights, social security and other areas.
At the end of the meeting, 2022 Agreement on Military Cooperation between Ministries of Defense of Republic of Armenia and Republic of Georgia was signed.
