On May 4, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, who is in Georgia on a working visit, met in Tbilisi with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Secretary of the National Security Council Vakhtang Gomelauri.
At the beginning of the meeting, the parties praised the centuries-old bilateral friendship, stressed the need to further deepen these relations, in particular, the expansion of sectoral cooperation between the Security Councils of the two countries.
Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan presented the position of Armenia on the security situation around Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia's position on overcoming those challenges.
Armen Grigoryan also presented to his interlocutor the plan of reforms in the security sphere, in the context of which the Georgian side shared its relevant experience.
The parties discussed a number of security issues. Vakhtang Gomelauri introduced Armen Grigoryan on the Georgian national security architecture and the mandate of the National Security Council.
