In an interview with the Italian Mediaset TV channel, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov presented Moscow's demand to Kyiv.
According to him, Russia demands that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky order the members of neo-Nazi formations to release the hostages and stop the resistance.
He stressed that the Russian side does not envisage regime change in Ukraine.
Lavrov noted that the Ukrainian leader could bring peace to his country, adding that Zelensky had the opportunity to become "president of peace", as he presented during the election campaign, but instead publicly stated that he would never fulfill the Minsk agreements.
Referring to the possible deadline for the completion of the special operation in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Minister stated that it will end when all the set goals are achieved.
"The Russian military will not artificially adjust its actions to some time," Lavrov said in response to a question about the end of battles by May 9.
