NATO does not see an immediate threat of Russia's use of nuclear weapons during a special operation in Ukraine. NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană announced this.
“However, we note with concern that the rhetoric on the use of nuclear weapons is growing. In our opinion, this is an element of psychological pressure on the population of both Ukraine and NATO member states,” said Geoană.
He expressed the opinion that the conflict in Ukraine will last a long time.
The NATO Deputy Secretary General added that there is no immediate military threat to Moldova and Georgia at the moment, but he predicts that there will still be provocations.
