Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan participated in an event organized by the Embassy of the Netherlands on the occasion of King's Day, a holiday symbolizing the national unity of the Netherlands. In the framework of the event, the Deputy PM congratulated on the holiday and sent wishes to the Government and the friendly people of the Netherlands.
The Deputy PM particularly mentioned:
“In the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, we can record with satisfaction that effective interstate cooperation based on mutual respect and trust has been established between the two countries. Our interstate relations have a great potential to develop in a more dynamic way, to include various spheres of cooperation.
I am happy to mention that the current political dialogue between our two countries is best expressed through mutual visits at different levels. Evidence of this is the first official visit of the Prime Minister of Armenia to Hague during the 30-year history of interstate relations scheduled for May this year.
I am convinced that the visit will give a qualitatively new impetus to the strengthening of close relations and comprehensive development of our friendly countries. Armenia highly appreciates the various development programs implemented in Armenia on the initiative of the Dutch government for many years. The rapprochement of Armenian-Dutch trade and economic ties is also very important for us.
We are ready to take the necessary steps to encourage cooperation between the business circles of our countries. I would like to emphasize that Armenia and the Armenian people are very grateful for the principles of the Netherlands in condemning the illegalities, war crimes committed against the Armenians of Artsakh during the war against Artsakh.
It is a clear demonstration of the Netherlands' commitment to the protection of human rights, fundamental freedoms and universal values. I am confident that the Armenian-Dutch relations developing in the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding, in which the Embassy of the Netherlands in Armenia and you personally, Mr. Ambassador have a valuable contribution will continue to register new successes.
I would like to once again congratulate all of us on the national holiday of the Netherlands, wish the Royal Majesty health, and the friendly people of the Netherlands - peace and prosperity.”
