Events dedicated to the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place in Mexico on April 24. This is stated on the Facebook page of the Armenian Embassy to Mexico.
“The clergy of the US Western Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated a liturgy in memory of the consecrated victims of the Armenian Genocide at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Balvana in Mexico City.
A commemorative event dedicated to the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Mexico Park with the participation of priests, the Armenian community, and Mexican politicians and public figures. Armenia’s Ambassador Armella Shakaryan and Mexican Senator Alejandra Leon made speeches. The official program was followed by a candlelight-laying ceremony,” the post reads.
