Benoît Payan, the Mayor of Marseille wrote on his Twitter page:
“Tonight, the Faro palace in Marseille was illuminated in the memory of the 1.5 million Armenians who were tortured, deported, imprisoned, killed because of the genocidal madness of the racist leaders.
Let’s promise today that we will never let the wild beast of nationalism to rise up”.
