The US Department of State's Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs referred to the possible peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“The United States welcomes PM Pashinyan’s recent comments on peace negotiations with Azerbaijan, the recent bilateral FM call between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and President Aliyev’s commitment to peace negotiations,” Twitter post of the US Department of State’s Bureau of Europe and Eurasian Affairs reads.
“Assistant Secretary Donfried is sending Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Andrew Schofer to the region this week to discuss how the United States can best support the process,” the Bureau added in another statement.
