The Pentagon wants to achieve Ukraine's victory and to restore its territorial integrity, however, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to whom the United States cannot dictate its will, must achieve all this. Pentagon Spokesman John Kirby made this statement.
“We want the victory of Ukraine. We want to see Ukraine sovereign, complete, so that there are no Russian troops in its entire territory. Mr. Zelensky and the Ukrainian Government must answer that question about how to do it,” Kirby said.
He added that the United States has no chance to dictate to Zelensky what Ukraine's victory should be like.
