The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer did not last long, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Nehammer, in his turn, noted that the talks with Vladimir Putin do not inspire optimism in terms of the cessation of battles in Ukraine. The Chancellor also conveyed to the Russian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s desire to hold direct talks with him.
The meeting of the leaders of the two countries was held in Moscow behind closed doors, no press conference was convened. The Chancellor of Austria stated that the conversation was very tough, at the same time open and direct.
