France reaffirms its full commitment to promoting peace and stability in the South Caucasus region, both on a bilateral basis and as Chair of the EU Council and Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group. This is stated in a statement issued by the French Foreign Ministry.
“In this role, France continues to work with Armenia and Azerbaijan to resolve humanitarian issues, and continues to support the demarcation of borders, overcoming regional isolation, heritage preservation, the signing of a peace treaty between the two countries and the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”
For this purpose, on February 4, on the initiative of the President of France, a consultation with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the President of Azerbaijan and the President of the European Council was organized in the form of a video conference. The French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group is currently on a working visit to Yerevan,” the French Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
