The Transnistrian administration denied the statement of the Ukrainian military about the alleged provocations in the region with the participation of the Russian military, Interfax reports.
“No military preparations or special measures are being taken in the territory of the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic threatening neighboring Ukraine," the unrecognized Transnistrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It is emphasized that “the Transnistrian authorities are making every effort to maintain peace in the region.”
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced on Monday morning that Russian troops could prepare for a provocation in Transnistria, “blaming Kyiv for that."
After the launch of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic has repeatedly stated that there may be attempts by the Russian military deployed in Transnistria to intervene in the battles.
Each time the Moldovan authorities and the Transnistrian administration denied the allegations of provocations and involvement of Transnistria in battles.
