The Artsakh Government promised to provide apartments to all those displaced by the 44-day war within three years. It is about 7 thousand apartments. For this purpose, housing construction is in full swing in Stepanakert and regions.
Hayk Khanumyan (Artsakh Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure) - The main solutions for the displaced people will be given within three years. And I think after that we should move to social housing, because both in the president's program and in various long-term programs, the issue of providing all families with a home is raised.
New settlements and districts are being built in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) with the help of the state and the ‘Hayastan’ All-Armenian Fund. A total of 254 houses are being built for the displaced residents of Avetaranots village near Aygestan.
Nairi Sargsyan (Construction Manager) - We already have geodetic points to start work with the remaining houses. In addition to 254 houses, the village will have an administrative district.
Due to the volume of work, specialists were invited from Armenia. A group of masters from Stepanavan did not go abroad for work this year.
The residents of Drakhtik and Azokh communities of Hadrut region and Karin Tak of Shushi region will be established in Noragyugh administrative area of Askeran region. And the residents of Sghnakh, Jraghatsner, Madatashen and Moshkhmhat villages of Askeran region - in Astghashen.
There are many cases when the Artsakh Government buys an apartment from the secondary market or renovates empty houses and provides them to displaced families. According to the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, this year 500 apartments will be bought from the citizens who have two or more houses.
Ninety-two private houses are being built in the new district of Hovsepavan. The project is implemented funded by philanthropist Sergey Hambardzumyan.
