The head of the government of one of the EU member states asked for evidence that the mass killings of civilians in Bucha were not staged. The statement came from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the German Bild newspaper, adding that it is not about German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
The President of Ukraine has expressed concern that a number of countries, especially Germany, are slowing down the process of tightening sanctions against Russia, and are opposed to the Russian oil and gas embargo.
“Germany is very careful in supporting Ukraine. They did not provide us with weapons, they openly stated that we would not become a member of NATO. Berlin's rhetoric has changed, however,” Zelensky said.
He noted that Ukraine has no choice but to negotiate with Russia, expressing hope that negotiations with Moscow will continue.
In an interview with one of the Indian TV channels, he once again stated that he was ready to meet and discuss any topic, but only with Vladimir Putin.
