Slovakia will seek to grant Ukraine candidate status as a candidate for EU membership as soon as possible, and then full membership. The Prime Minister of Slovakia Eduard Heger announced this.
“Slovakia will put pressure on other EU countries to allow Ukraine to become a candidate for membership in the Union as soon as possible and then become a full member,” TASS quoted the Prime Minister as saying.
Heger made the announcement after returning from Kyiv, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In addition, he said that Slovakia is ready to export wheat through Ukraine through its territory, as well as to help the Ukrainian army repair military equipment.
