EU ban on steel export from Russia and Belarus will pave the way for increased exports of Turkish steel. It is also predicted that the export of this metal product from Turkey to the United States and “many other countries” will increase, Hürriyet Daily News reports.
“The regulation of EU quotas has increased the share of Turkish steel exports to many countries. Entering different markets and establishing trade relations will provide us with long-term investments,” said Elif Tulai, president of one of the metallurgical companies.
Last year, Turkey was the eighth largest producer of crude steel in the world after China, India, Japan, the United States, Russia, South Korea and Germany.
