German Vice Chancellor, Economy and Climate Defense Minister Robert Habeck spoke out against increasing military assistance to Ukraine.
"Despite everything we do, we are very careful not to take a reckless step that could turn Germany into a target of Russian attack," Habeck told the Rheinische Post.
In his opinion, it is difficult for Ukraine to understand such a formulation of the issue.
The Vice Chancellor announced plans to introduce a package of bills next week aimed at reducing Germany's dependence on Russian energy supplies through a wider use of renewable energy sources.
