Seven humanitarian corridors to evacuate people from Ukraine's besieged regions are planned for Saturday, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said, Reuters reports.
The planned corridors include one for people evacuating by private transport from the city of Mariupol and by buses for Mariupol residents out of the city of Berdyansk, Vereshchuk said.
Yesterday, the official reported that more than 6,200 people were evacuated through humanitarian corridors.
More than 400 residents, almost half of them children, arrived in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, by train from Mariupol. According to the Russian side, about 16,000 people were evacuated from dangerous areas of Ukraine yesterday.
