On March 26-29, the Head of the RA NA Delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (IAO) Sisak Gabrielyan and the members of the Delegation Tsovinar Vardanyan and Hrachya Hakobyan took part in the Spring Session of the International Secretariat of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy held in Milan.
During the meeting, Sisak Gabrielyan touched upon the situation in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the suspension of gas supply in Artsakh, the deliberate destruction of the Armenian historical-cultural and religious heritage on the territories passed under the control of Azerbaijan because of the Azerbaijani aggression against the Nagorno-Karabakh and the distortion of the identity.
At the meeting the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy Maximos Charakopoulos reaffirmed the decision of holding the 29th General Assembly of the IAO in Armenia.
