Moscow hopes that the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh will de-escalate based on the 2020 November 9 trilateral statement, signed by leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko told TASS News Agency.
“We hope that it will all be resolved within the framework of the 2020 November 9 trilateral statement of the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian leaders,” Rudenko said.
Asked whether Azerbaijani troops would return to their former positions, Rudenko said it should be asked to Baku.
"The Russian Foreign Ministry has issued a statement expressing concern over the escalation of tensions in the Karabakh zone," Rudenko said.
