The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Artsakh Republic (Nagorno-Karabakh) Arthur Tovmasyan sent a message to the people of Artsakh, which we present in full.
“Dear compatriots!
All fundamental issues related to the Artsakh Republic are decided in the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh.
It is not that only the president of the country who is also the chairman of the Security Council or the Secretary of the Security Council are responsible in the current situation. All members of the Security Council are responsible.
All members of the Security Council have the opportunity to accurately analyze the situation, and if there are people in the Security Council who do not agree, we will not move forward. And if there are people in the Security Council who do not agree with the decisions made by the Security Council, they can leave the Security Council. Fortunately, this was not the case before the explosion of the gas pipeline and it is not the case now either.
Artsakh was facing local hostilities. Thus we must work with everyone not only by force but also by wise diplomacy (RA partners, Russian peacekeeping forces and other structures). It is easy to put the blame on one person and turn him into a scapegoat. It is the right opportunity.
In general, the mission of peacekeepers is to show goodwill between the warring parties to prevent the emergence of new wars. But the world is changing rapidly, the world order is being shaken, a new world order is being formed before our eyes.
And if the Artsakh NA factions and all members of the National Assembly, regardless of political views, not make the right decisions together, we will remain under the ruins of a collapsing world order.
The recent sittings of the Security Council of the Artsakh Republic and the last meeting of the President of the Artsakh Republic, the President of the Security Council in the National Assembly inspire hope that we are on the right path.
God willing, it will continue like this.”
