US President Joe Biden's new statements about Russian leader Vladimir Putin are alarming. This is how the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov assessed his words, RIA Novosti writes.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded to the US State Department's comment on US President Joe Biden's remarks to Russian President Vladimir Putin on her Telegram channel.
In his post, the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman first quoted the State Department as saying, “Joe Biden's statements about Vladimir Putin were made under the influence of emotions, do not reflect the official course of the White House: Advisor to the US State Department,” then answered: “God save America.”
On March 26, Biden called Vladimir Putin a “butcher” and added that the Russian leader “cannot stay in power.” After that incident, the journalists asked the President of the United States whether he was calling for a change of government in Russia, to which the head of the White House gave a negative answer.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, commenting on US President Joe Biden's speech in Warsaw, said that NATO has no intention of changing power in Russia. “We both agree that regime change is not on the agenda, it is not the goal of our joint policy,” Scholz said.
The President of the European Council Charles Michel stated that despite the “war crimes in Ukraine,” the dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin should be continued, regardless of “whether he likes it or not.”
And the author of the article in the Wall Street Journal advised the US President to have new advisers. According to the writer, Biden's statements against Russian President Putin could complicate the dialogue with Moscow on all topics.
