The Russian Foreign Ministry has issued a statement on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
"We are highly concerned about rising tensions in Nagorno-Karabakh. The incidents of armed infiltration into the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers that the Russian Defense Ministry reported in its information bulletin on March 26, 2022, as well as ceasefire violations, run counter to the statements that the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia adopted on November 9, 2020," the statement reads.
Moscow urges the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to exercise restraint and ensure compliance with the trilateral agreements that were reached by the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"We urge the parties to exercise restraint and ensure strict compliance with the existing trilateral agreements reached at the highest level," the statement reads.
It is also mentioned that the Russian peacekeeping mission, in cooperation with the parties, is taking the necessary measures to deescalate the situation in the region.
