On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation, as well as the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the two countries, we are going to hold more than two dozen events in political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The statement came from Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova in response to a question from ‘Lurer’.
“According to the tradition, on the day of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, on April 3, we will start by exchanging congratulatory messages from the heads and foreign ministries of the states. The official visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to Russia is scheduled for the second ten days of April, and the working visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan to Russia is scheduled for April 8. Other contacts are also developed at different levels. It is planned to erect a monument to the ‘Unity of Centuries’ of Armenian-Russian friendship in the center of Yerevan,” Zakharova said.
She emphasized that Days of Armenian Culture will be held in Russia during the year, and in Armenia - Days of Careful Culture of Russia. A regular youth conference will be held. According to Zakharova, round tables on current issues of Armenian-Russian relations are planned.
“One of the non-classical ideas is the joint issuance of the jubilee stamp, as well as the architectural and artistic lighting of different buildings in Moscow and Yerevan in the colors of the state flags of the two countries,” the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman added, promising to provide more detailed information on April 3.
