Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone conversations with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday and Friday to discuss the situation on the contact line in Karabakh, Russian presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“The situation on the contact line in Karabakh was discussed,” he told reporters.
Earlier, Armenia’s Government informed that during the telephone conversation, Prime Minister Pashinyan assessed the situation as tense. He asked about the need to investigate the actions of Russian peacekeepers in this situation, stressed the need for Russian peacekeepers to return the Azerbaijani armed forces to their initial positions. The leaders of Armenia and Russia agreed to make efforts to resolve the crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh.
