The Turkish Defense Ministry announced about the neutralization of a mine-like object in the Bosphorus, TASS reports.
“After the discovery of a mine-like object by a civil merchant ship in the morning of March 26, 2022, underwater protection teams were sent to the scene of an accident in the Bosphorus. They have taken the object under protection and steps have been taken to neutralize it,” said Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.
The Bosphorus Strait was temporarily closed for navigation, but reopened after the facility was neutralized.
