The European Commission intends to start considering the applications of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova for ‘accelerated procedure’ to receive the status of a candidate for EU membership, Welt reports.
According to the sources of the periodical, the relevant questions should be sent to the interested countries in a few weeks. Being an ‘accelerated procedure’, it will, however, take a very long time, the newspaper notes. Moreover, it is clarified that the result is not specified.
