A journalist asked Eduard Aghajanyan, Chairman of the NA Committee on Foreign Relations, how much he connected the following facts: Baku presented 5-point proposals on normalization of relations with Armenia, Armenia did not see anything unacceptable there, and then provocations by Azerbaijan started in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
“On the day of the announcement of Armenia’s Foreign Minister, the Azerbaijani side closes the gas once again. This is a vivid example that the agenda of peace, the activity of the Armenian Government and authorities is aimed to serve it, is in no way shared by the Azerbaijani side, despite the fact that in public speech Azerbaijan presents itself to the international community as a supporter of peace. We see completely opposite actions in practice,” said Aghajanyan.
According to Aghajanyan, the peace agenda is in the interests of Armenia and the Armenian people.
“Our task is not to deviate from that agenda in any case. We assess what is happening as a provocation and action aimed at devaluing the peace agenda, the importance of which the Armenian Government has repeatedly spoken about," the MP said.
