Pumping Ukraine with weapons from the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance not only leads to the protraction of hostilities, but also poses the risk of unpredictable consequences, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a news briefing on Thursday, TASS reports.
"NATO member states continue to pump Ukraine with weapons in a proactive manner. This not only leads to a prolongation of hostilities, but is also fraught with unpredictable consequences," the diplomat said.
The diplomat pointed out that carrying out such supplies Western countries grossly violate their own obligations on non-proliferation and secure storage of weapons, including OSCE documents.
