On March 22, Lilit Makunts, the Armenian Ambassador to the US had a meeting with Senator Jack Reed, the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Ambassador Makunts thanked the Senator for the continuous support throughout the years to Armenia and the Armenian people.
Ambassador Makunts presented the security environment around Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, including attempts by Azerbaijan to deliberately disrupt the normal operation of vital infrastructure in Nagorno-Karabakh.
In that context, Lilit Makunts valued the role of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs in the final settlement of the NK issue.
During the meeting, there was a reference to the settlement process of the Armenia-Turkey relations.
