The talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations on Monday lasted an hour and a half, after which the discussion continued in the format of working groups, head of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Ukrainian party Servant of the People David Arakhamia reported, TASS reports.
"The meeting [in the online format] took place already. From 10:30 to 12 there was an official delegation. Then went again working groups. Today we are working all day," the Ukrainiskaya Pravda newspaper quoted Arakhamia as saying.
On Sunday, the newspaper reported that on March 21 the negotiations of the official delegations are planned to resume in the format of an online conference, with work at the level of expert groups going on daily.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin in response to the appeal of the leaders of the republics of Donbass, decided to conduct a special military operation. The Russian leader stressed that Moscow does not intend to occupy Ukrainian territories and the goal is to demilitarize and denazify the country, fighting militant nationalist armed groups that are directly responsible for the genocide in the Donbass.
On February 28, the first round of Russian-Ukrainian talks took place in the Gomel region. It lasted five hours. Later, there were two more face-to-face rounds and meetings in an online format.
