"EU foreign ministers started working on delivering an opinion on the basis of the application for membership for Ukraine," said Olivér Várhelyi, EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement. He promised to provide the conclusion on the issue as fast as possible.
"The EU continues to stand by Ukraine and its people by delivering assistance," he wrote on Twitter.
