The North Atlantic Alliance has deployed around 140 000 soldiers in Europe, Jens Stoltenberg, the NATO Secretary General reported.
“We have already started implementing the programs of the alliance defense, increase of our readiness and deployment of troops on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean”, Stoltenberg said. He reported that hundreds of thousands of servicemen of NATO member countries are in a state of high combat readiness.
According to the NATO Secretary General, major air and naval forces, as well as air defense systems provide support to the 140 000 soldiers deployed in Europe.
