Today, President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received members of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Artsakh Republic (Nagorno-Karabakh) National Assembly.
President Khachaturyan noted that such visits and active contacts are especially important these days.
The members of the delegation that arrived in Armenia to participate in the enlarged sitting jointly with the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports of the RA National Assembly presented to the President the programs implemented by the committee and the forthcoming activities.
Special mention was made of the issue of preservation of the Armenian historical, cultural and sppiritual heritage in the territories under the control of Azerbaijan, and the issue of raising the issue on international platforms.
They also touched upon the deepening of cooperation between Armenia and Artsakh in the spheres of education, science, culture. In this context, the prospect of implementing joint educational programs in the field of information technologies was particularly highlighted.
President Vahagn Khachaturyan stressed the need for high-quality education.
During the meeting, they also referred to the current problems of the Artsakh Armenians and the existing challenges, in the solution of which President Khachaturyan especially emphasized the unity and solidarity of our people.
