On March 16, the Armenia’s Parlaiment Speaker Alen Simonyan received the members of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly of the Artsakh Republic (Nagorno-Karabakh). They take part in the joint extended sitting of the Armenia’s National Assembly namesake Committee in Armenia.
The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Sisak Gabrielyan and the Committee Deputy Chair Taguhi Ghazaryan also participated in the meeting.
Welcoming the attendees, the RA NA President has noted that the National Assembly of Armenia and personally him are ready to support the programmes and initiatives being carried out by the joint agenda. At the NA President’s request, the Head of the Artsakh delegation, the Chair of the AR NA Standing Committee on Science, Culture, Youth and Sport Aram Harutyunyan gave details from the extended sitting. He highlighted the creation of the joint connection platform, which would give opportunity for more operative contacts with the colleagues of Armenia.
At the meeting the problems of gas supply caused because of pipeline accident in Artsakh and security issues were touched upon. The colleagues from Artsakh have emphasized the necessity of the development of the education sphere, the resolving of the humanitarian issues and the elimination of the problems regarding the media literacy, which are the agenda items of the joint sitting with the colleagues of Armenia.
At the end of the meeting the RA NA President Alen Simonyan conveyed his warm greetings to the NA President of Artsakh Artur Tovmasyan.
