Today, Ambassador Sos Avetisyan met with the President of the Spanish Senate Ander Gil García. This is stated on the Facebook page of the Armenian Embassy to Spain.
“At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Avetisyan made a note in the book of honorary guests of the Senate. Later the parties exchanged views on a number of issues on the international agenda, stressed the need to strengthen parliamentary ties between the two countries. Ambassador Avetisyan briefed the President of the Spanish Senate on Azerbaijan's actions aimed at provoking a humanitarian crisis in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), including continued disruption of gas supplies, targeting of infrastructure, civilian population, threat of destruction of Armenian cultural and spiritual heritage in territories under Azerbaijani control. He highlighted the resolution on the ‘Destruction of cultural heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh’ adopted on March 10, 2022 and the proper response of the international community," the note reads.
