On March 15, Armenia’s Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri.
The military attaché of the Iranian Embassy in Armenia, Colonel Bahman Sadeghin also took part in the meeting.
The parties touched upon the prospects of the Armenian-Iranian bilateral cooperation, discussed a number of issues related to regional and international security.
Armenia’s Minister of Defense also presented the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
