The European Commission ordered to transfer 300 million euros to Ukraine for this year from the previously provided 1.2 billion euros in macro-financial assistance to "maintain the country's macro-financial stability".
The announcement emphasizes that the allocation of these funds confirms "the unwavering support of the EU to Ukraine”.
The money should be used mainly to serve Ukraine's foreign debt.
Earlier, the European Commission reported that the EU alone has provided 17 billion euros aid to Ukraine since 2014.
