On March 9, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan issued a statement claiming that the units of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defense Army fired at the Azerbaijani military positions with firearms, after which they opened fire in response.
“This statement has nothing to do with reality. Artsakh’s Defense Army not only did not open fire on the Azerbaijani positions, but, as we have already mentioned earlier, on March 7 and 8, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired at the village of Khramort twice and three times respectively,” the press service of the Artsakh Defense Ministry says in a statement.
