The parties to the negotiations on the restoration of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear program are close to an agreement, but this process should not be delayed, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, TASS reports.
"We are very close to an agreement. It is very important that it be concluded while there is still time," the press service of the foreign policy said in a statement.
The French Foreign Ministry expressed concern that further delays in the negotiations could pose a threat to reaching an agreement. Together with London and Berlin, Paris calls on all other parties to "approach the matter responsibly and take the decisions necessary to conclude this agreement."
On Tuesday, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Chinese President Xi Jinping touched upon the restoration of the JCPOA on Iran's nuclear program at talks via videoconference.
