Russian and Turkish Defense Ministers, Sergey Shoigu and Hulusi Akar, held a phone conversation, the Russian defense ministry said on Tuesday, TASS reports.
"In a phone conversation, the situation in Ukraine was discussed, as well as other relevant issues of bilateral cooperation through the defense ministries," the ministry noted.
It specified that the conversation took place at the initiative of the Turkish side.
The previous talks between Russian and Turkish defense ministers were held on March 1. The situation in Ukraine was the focus of a phone conversation between Shoigu and Akar. Apart from that, they discussed the current situation in the Middle East.
