On March 7, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Hambardzum Matevosyan received the German Ambassador to Armenia, Victor Richter.
Matevosyan congratulated the Armenian and German peoples on the 30th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, noting that Armenia and Germany have established a reliable partnership over these past three decades.
Besides, the Deputy Prime Minister lauded the work of the Armenian office of Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, and thanked the office for assisting in Armenia's development.
During the meeting, the IT sector was considered as one of the perspective domains of cooperation between Armenian and Germany. And as some other spheres of cooperation, the parties stressed the decentralized cooperation of local governments, as well as cultural tourism.
The German ambassador lauded Armenia's economic growth recorded among the EEU member states, the unification of its communities as a result of administrative and territorial reforms, as well as the results of the activities of citizen service offices in Armenia’s communities, and expressed hope for further cooperation with Armenia.
Also, the parties discussed several other matters of mutual interest.
