Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Saturday that if he sees that negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Turkey can be meaningful and that this will fit into the overall framework of the negotiation process, he will not refuse them, Interfax reports.
At the same time, the minister added that he was not aware of Sergey Lavrov confirming his consent to this meeting. According to Kuleba, he will discuss this issue with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Saturday.
Yesterday Çavuşoğlu, referring to the Russian-Ukrainian talks in Belarus, said that his country wants to organize a meeting of Russian and Ukrainian Foreign Ministers within the framework of a diplomatic forum to be held in Antalya on March 11-13.
He added that Sergey Lavrov had earlier confirmed his participation in the forum.
