The UN Armenia office congratulates Armenia on the occasion of 30th anniversary of joining the UN.
30 years ago on this day Armenia joined the United Nations, when the UN General Assembly approved its membership application by resolution A/RES/46/227 in 1992.
Armenia's application for membership in the UN was a step towards the world to prove that the newly independent state is ready to fulfill its international obligations, to implement programs aimed at the protection of human rights, democracy, the rule of law, equality and sustainable development, through close cooperation with the UN Armenia.
