Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Alfred Kocharyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Armenia Anne Louyot.
Astghik Marabyan, Head of the Department of Cultural Heritage and Folk Crafts of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the existing Armenian-French cooperation in the field of preservation and popularization of cultural heritage was discussed.
The Deputy Minister presented the priorities of the state policy in the field of cultural heritage, which include, in particular, the provision of museums with new technical solutions, the training of museum specialists, and the improvement of the museum management sector.
The possibility of implementing new joint initiatives was touched upon, as well as an agreement was reached to effectively continue and expand the existing cooperation in the field of cultural heritage.
