The Parliament of Armenia is electing a President of the country today. What role can the President play in the return of captives held in Azerbaijan? Lawmaker, member of ‘Civil Contract’ faction Zaruhi Batoyan asked this question to Armenia’s presidential candidate Vahagn Khachaturyan.
“In the 90s we were facing this problem, we can also add the missing. It has always been problematic in the sense that there are no clear solutions, especially, that they must be the result of negotiations, and the goals of the other side must be clear. Now the government officials are trying to return our captives by all possible means on daily basis.
Armenia’s President has his work to do there. That must be added to all that is being done today. In other words, the institution of the president can be useful,” Khachaturyan said.
Khachaturyan stressed that the state institutions work together, and it will give its result.
