As of March 2, 13 battalion tactical groups (BTGs) of the Russian occupation forces from the Eastern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces are attempting to continue the offensive in the Podolsk direction along the line of Gorenichi, Gostomel and Demidov in the direction of Kyiv. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on its Facebook page.
In the Seversky direction, up to 17 tactical groups of Russians, although with losses, continue their offensive in order to blockade the Ukrainian capital from the northeast. The Russian forces were stopped in the areas of such settlements: Kozelets, Bobrovitsa, Makeev.
The Russian army is trying to block Mariupol in the direction of Donetsk. Russia is deploying a naval group in the coastal zone, preparing for a naval landing operation.
The Russian military is firing rockets at key infrastructure to intimidate civilians, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff.
